Sharks @ Oilers

Dreams of theare quickly fading into the
The
are finishing up their last long road trip of the season, tonight's opponent none other then the
going into the game the were trying to snap a 5 game losing streak. Which they
DIDN'T, really come on they are seriously the worst team in the

So there is obviously something wrong with the team. Is it
the Coach
or maybe
it is the on ice leadership, that they have...
Now I know I shouldn't be

at anyone in particular, because its a team sport. But this is getting sad. The Sharks haven't lost this many games in regulation since

There are no more excuse they need to step up and play hockey like we know they can. Nothing else can be said, I'm one of those die hard Fin loving fans, so win or lose, I'll be there...

Sharks @ Canucks

San Jose Sharks @ Vancouver Canucks
Lose 3-2
13 Games Left

Injury Report:
Vlasic - still out, the team could really use him right about now

Up & Down Game:
Logan Couture and Jamie McGinn up from the AHL

League Leaders:
Top Face-off team

Fights:
None

Game Notes:
With the lose tonight that brings the streak to 4. The Sharks haven't loss this bad since December. Well they played maybe a total period of hockey but that's being nice. The other 40 minutes were spent chasing the puck, on defences and in the penalty box. The major differences in tonight's game is the goal tending, it wasn't perfect but it was damn near perfect compared to the last games. The Sharks can fight back on the score board all they want but it becoming harder and harder. Mentally they have to be spent with all the chasing. There isn't much else to say but I can see a early exit coming this year again....

Stars:
1. Logan Couture
2. Jumbo
3. Huskins

Scoring:
Ryane Clowe's 17th - 4 on 4 - from Paveleski and Huskins
Joe Pavelski's 21st - evevn strength - from Huskins and Setoguchi

Sharks @ Stars

San Jose Sharks @ Dallas Stars
Lose 8-2
14 Games Left

Injury Report:

Valsic - still out but traveling with the team

Fights:

Clowe v Barch = Clowe took him down

Leach v Barch = Leach ripped his jersey right off

Game Notes:

Well the Sharks seem to be the team to beat if you haven't been doing great since the break. This was single handily thee worst game of the season. What went wrong in this game; it would be easier to say what went right, cause nothing did, really. Yeah there were 2 real good fights, and if Staubitz had his way there would've been a couple more. PK - wasn't all that bad the Stars only scored once, with the man advantage. The PP was another story, it seemed like the wrong team was scoring, Stars scored twice short handed, while the Sharks only scored once. Nabby was pulled from the game after letting 4 goals get past him.
Overall it was an absloutly horrible game, I guess the Sharks decided to stay home on this road trip. I really don't know what the Coach's contract looks like but, they could be looking for some new personal on and off the bench this coming off season.
I love the Sharks and have been a fan since the early years... I don't like watching them play like this. It is uncalled for, they are supposed to be professionals. I mean come on they do get paid the big bucks don't they. They need to start playing like it.

Scoring Summary: (yeah right)

Dan Boyle's 12th - power play - from Thornton & Pavelski

Devin Setoguchi's 17th - even strength - from Marleau & Clowe

Sharks @ Ducks

San Jose Sharks @ Anihiem Ducks
Lose 4-2
15 Games Left

Injury Report:
Marc Edward Valsic is traveling with the team
Douglas Murray is back in line up

Up & Down Game:
Jamie McGinn still with team
Jason Demers sent back down

Game Notes:
Coming into the game the Sharks had swept the Ducks 5 zip outscoring them19-7... This is the last long road time for the Sharks this regular season. Top line of Jumbo/Heater/Patty was back together tonight. But at the end of the night it seemed to be a mistake. On top of that this would be the Ducks first win since the Olympic break oh and to make it worse Selanne was in striking distance to reach 600 goals.
The Good - the Penalty Kill was on point tonight, 0-6 for the Ducks
The Bad - Power Play was horrible 0-4 for the beloved Sharks
The Ugly - Um... scoring, zone entry.
After what seemed like was every whistle their was some extra activity, no actual fights. Guys sticking up for one another. The Sharks seemed to start this game like they ended last night's game, poor and horrible. The second was better they at lest shut out the Ducks, but they started to take to many penalties. The third was eventful, with Selanne knocking on the door of 600, Nabby was shutting him down at every turn. Finally he went for it one last time, and took HIMSELF into the boards hard, and didn't get up. It was a scary sight, I might not like him, but hate to see a player go down, needs less to say he didn't come back to the game.
Silver Lining - It wasn't a shut out

Stars Of Game:
1. Jumbo - stopping the shutout
2. Jamie - trying to keep them in it
3. None

Scoring Summary:
Joe Thornton's 18th - even strength - from McGinn and Setoguchi
Jamie McGinn's 8th - even strength - from Huskins

Panthers @ Sharks

San Jose Sharks vs Florida Panthers
Over Time Lose
3-2

Injury Report:
Vlasic and Murray both out with lower body injury, but both skating with the team

Up & Down Game:
Jason Demers and Jamie McGinn still up the Sharks

Fights:
Staubitz vs Tarnasky - fight was a draw
Malhorta vs Garrison - was Mango flipped over onto his back

Game Notes:
This game started off so well, better then any one of their home games since the break. True to form though the Sharks did not keep up their play. Some great goal's by the awesome new duo of; Clowe and Marleau. The Sharks came out with speed and some carry over from their 6 goal 3rd period performance the previous game. For the 1st time in I cant tell you how long did the Sharks finally score 1st well then 2nd. The PK* was perfect, not pretty but the Panthers did not score. The PP** was not perfect but they did score once. In the end the Panthers just out work the Sharks for 40 minutes longer then they wanted to play. The Panthers came into the game with little to no respect for the Sharks, and that's the reason why they beat them. Manny Malhorta took expectation to a hit on Pavelski, so he did what was right. In turn that fight caused him 17 minutes off the ice in the 3rd.

Sharks Scoring Summary:
Ryane Clowe's 16th - even strength - from Marleau
Patrick Marleau's 41st - power play - from Clowe and Pavelski

Stars of the Game:
1. Ryane Clowe - Goal and an Assist
2. Patrick Marleau - Goal and an Assist
3. Joe Pavelski
- Another great game, and an Assist

*PK- Penalty Kill

**PP- Power Play

Predators @ Sharks

San Jose Sharks vs Nashville Predators
WIN
8-5

Injury Report:
Valsic is 7 to 8 games from coming back

Up & Down Game:
Demers and Heminen down
McGinn still up

Game Notes:
Ok so the way this game started I thought oh no not again. But the Sharks had a 6 goal 3rd period. The 1st 2 periods were almost non existent from the Sharks. In the 2nd period Murray went to the dressing room and wasn't heard from again. Still no word on his condition. Its hard to complain about their play when they come back to win, but I will say this that we will NEVER win a Cup with that kinda play... The Sharks fans really got behind Pavelski with USA chants.

Patrick Marleau is only the 3rd Shark to reach the 40 goal mark
Kent Huskins reached his career high 16 assists
Jay Leach scored his first ever goal in the NHL

Sharks Goals:
Dany Healtey's 35th - even strength - from Thornton and Setgochi

Joe Thornton's 17th - power play - from Healtey and Marleau
Dany Healtey's 36th - power play - from Boyle and Pavelski
Manny Malhorta's 11th - even strength - from Huskins and Pavelski
Joe Pavelski's 19th - even strength - from Malhorta
Joe Pavelski's 20th - even strength - from Nichol and Malhorta
Patrick Marleau's 40th - even strength - from Clowe and Mitchell
Jay Leach's 1st EVER - empty net - from Wallin and Nichol

Stars of the Game:
1. Joe Pavelski - 4 point game
2. Manny Malhorta - 4 point game
3. Dany Healtey - 3 point game

First team in NHL history to win 3 straight games, all in regulation when trailing after 2 periods

Blue Jackets @ Sharks

San Jose Sharks v Columbus Blue Jackets
Win 2-1
18 games left

Injury Report:
Scott Nichol out with upper body injury for 7-10 days

Marc-Edward Vlasic Injured Reserve

Up & Down Game:
Ryan Vesce brought up
Jamie McGinn still up

League Leaders:
Jumbo - assist leader @ 61
Heater - tied with power play goals

Fights:
Brad Staubitz vs Boll = Staubitz, he actually got cut in that fight
Staubitz (again) vs Dorsett= not really a fight

Game Notes:
Man oh man did the Sharks come out strong or what. As much as I hate to admit it but you really didn't notice Nichol was missing everyone stepped up to the challenge. Some great chances through out the game, they pushed the puck well. In the middle period though they did take their foot off the gas but came back strong. The Blue Jackets tried to slow the pace but it never worked to their advantage. Mason had the Sharks shutout for 148.38 minutes till Heater broke out on the power play. Right after the goal man did they go into hyper drive.

Stars of the Game:
1. Heater - ended shutout
2. Stauby - fights, grit, heart
3. Pavs - game winning goal & face off wins

Scoring Summary:
Healtey's 34th - power play goal - from Marleau and Thornton
Pavelski's 18th - even strength - from Marleau and Clowe
