Game Notes:
The 4th and final meeting between these two teams with Detroit taking the majority of the wins. When Clowe scores the Sharks are 12-1-1.
Powerful opening shift, I love the passion that the Sharks came out with, it was like yesterdays game never happened. Bodies flying everywhere “It’s a war in front of the nets” Randy Hahn; which is was there was a minimum of 2 players in front of each goaltender. Red Wings scored first on a power play, they would go 1 for 4 on special teams. The penalty kill was insane tonight with the exception of the one hiccup. But the Sharks came back 3 seconds later to tie the score then scored again to go into the locker room with a rare lead.
The whole game had a great flow to it, no one ever settled down; the pace never really fell into a rhythm. This was by far the BEST effort EVER against the Detroit team. To the Sharks credit they fought through a lot of non calls by the referee’s. the scoring opportunities went back in forth in the 3rd, where the Red Wings tied it on a weird goal. The ref’s let play continue for at least a minute before blowing the whistle and the review went upstairs to show a goal. Overtime: Rob Blake took a tripping penalty half way thru and the Sharks did a absolutely amazing job 4 on 3 to not gave the game up. Nabby had a career record of saves with 50.

Stars of the Game:
1. Ryane Clowe- passion and determination
2. Niklas Wallin & Dwight Helmenin- first points as Sharks
3. Nabby- another amazing performance from the net minder

Goals:
First Period-
Joe Thornton
from Wallin and Boyle
Dwight Helmenin
From Mitchell and Nichol
