@Tampa Bay Rays Series

New York Yankees

Opening Series Game - April 9th

Javy, didn't disappoint (me) I wasn't expecting to much from him. I know it's one start in a long season but it sure seems like not much has changed since 2004.

It wasn't just Javy that was having a bad day. The Yankees as a whole didn't impress anyone by losing the first game

One player that is having no problem early in the season with his glove and bat is

Game Two of Series - April 10th

Man oh man, was CC on fire or what in the second game. Five strike outs and a No-Hitter through 7 2/3 innings. He proved he came to play and is hungry for another amazing season.

It took our friends at FOX a whole 26 minutes before they mentioned the Yankees payroll, and shockingly enough that was the only time it was brought up during the game.

Now CC, was the man of the game but he had a great supporting cast behind him

Robbie, Tex, Jete and A-Rod, combined to make some of the most amazing plays to keep the no-hitter in tact.

Mark was able to get off the schneid with a RBI double...

Cervelli, was also great behind the plate. It was nice to see the young catcher have great energy, and looked like he was having the time of his life.

Final Game - April 11th

AJ, got into some trouble early in the game. But with Jorgie quickly calming him down, he went on to pitch rather well.

Mark celebrated his 30th Birthday today
Keys Plays:

Alex:
2 Doubles
2 RBI's

Jorgie:
2 run Homer

Grandy:

RBI Double

Swisher:

Homer

Through out the 3 game series, you could always a loud strong

chant. That's always nice to see that the visiting team has more fans in attendance then the home team.

Yankees win the Series 2-1
